Master of shadow is a kind of recreational game which combines enjoyment with creation. In the game, users can make animation easily by the use of elements of shadow, and share creativity and happiness with others.

The main function of it is divided into three parts. The first, making animations on mobile clients and PCs. In this function, users can edit action of shadow figures freely, direct multiple figures on the stage, and even design the setting of the stage, subtitles, soundtrack and many other details. In addition, users can also upload their own photo to make shadow figures. Particularly, our game on PCs connects motion-sensor technology by using Kinect. In a word, users will be able to make and direct a shadow play just on the mobile phone or computer. The second, communicating with other users on the website. The website of master of shadow provides a platform where users can show their own animations and share their experience and skills of making animations with others. The third one, transmitting and analyzing data of users on the server side. The server will process data from different mobile platforms, store and manage the data and animation works from users. By analyzing user data, we can select the uses who have the biggest contributions to our game and select the most popular theme of shadow play so that we can meet the needs of our users and continuously improve our game.

There are many innovation points of our application. First, we make a bold attempt on traditional Chinese culture and combine shadow play with the modern micro videos. Second, our game makes people build animations on the mobile easily and conveniently instead of some software with complex operation. The third, we make full use of hot technology at present such as Windows Azure and Kinect motion-sensor to make our game more fascinating. The last, our game not only promotes creative thinking of users but promotes inheritance of shadow play. Our team expect shadow play will carry forward through our efforts as well.
